BUILD Magazine Architecture Awards

Maya Romanoff is proud to be named Best Handcrafted Wallcoverings Manufacturer 2026 – USA in BUILD Magazine’s 2026 Architecture Awards.

For more than five decades, craftsmanship has been at the heart of Maya Romanoff. In our Chicago studio, skilled artisans transform extraordinary materials through painting, hand-inlaying, leafing, dyeing, and other specialized techniques to create wallcoverings rich in texture, depth, and individuality.

While our techniques continue to evolve, the human hand remains essential to our process. Each collection reflects a balance of artistry, material exploration, and innovation—honoring the handmade traditions that have defined Maya Romanoff while continually exploring what a wallcovering can become.

This recognition from BUILD Magazine celebrates the craftsmanship and creativity of the artisans, designers, and makers who bring our surfaces to life and reinforces our enduring commitment to Make Every Wall Beautiful.
